Mayer Brown has hired a Freshfields' associate as partner in Frankfurt to strengthen its German financial services regulatory offering.
Alexander Behrens has experience advising on banking regulatory and compliance issues and NPL (non-performing loan) sales.
Explaining the hire, head of Mayer Brown's German banking and finance group, Jochen Seitz, said Behrens hire was "a critical component" of the firm's growth strategy for Germany, adding: "Alexander significantly enhances our banking regulatory capabilities."
