King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) - the world's first Sino-Australian firm – has opened a new office in Singapore. The new opening is the firm’s fifteenth in Asia.

The Singapore office will be led by three partners, John Sullivan, Huang Xuhua and Michael Lawson, who all will initially focus on international funds, energy and resources, and China inbound and outbound work.

Stuart Fuller, KWM’s global managing partner, said of the development: “South East Asia is one of the fastest growing markets in the world and has become a global hub for cross border investment, capital formation and commodities trading and with China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative, Singapore will play a critical role in Chinese inbound and outbound investment.”

Sullivan is a cross-border funds expert, with a particular focus on the real estate, infrastructure and private equity sectors. Xuhua covers M&A cross-border investments involving China, and Lawson is specialised in energy, resources and projects work.
