Senior partners at former Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co (AMSS) have established a new law firm in India with six offices locations across the country.

Mumbai-based Shardul and Pallavi Shroff have formed Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, which started business earlier in May.

In a recent press statement the firm said: "We have a robust plan that will enable us to continue offering quality services across India to all our clients in a collaborative way, utilising the strength of our pan-India presence."

Pallavi Shroff will be the firm’s new managing partner and will oversee all regions until regional managing partners are inducted. The new firm will have an independent governance structure with a managing board in place. Under the new structure, it will be organised into integrated national practice groups led by national practice heads.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has 300 lawyers including 60 partners across its offices in India. The firm is one of two new firms that have been created following the resolution of a court dispute between Shardul and Cyril Shroff, the two managing partners at what was India’s largest law firm, Amarchand & Mangaldas.
