Jones Day has hired two new capital markets lawyers in Milan from Simmons & Simmons.
Piergiorgio Leofreddi and Vinicio Trombetti join the US firm as partners.
Leofreddi advises banks on debt and equity offerings including EMTN programmes and share and bond offerings, he also acts on regulatory matters.
Trombetti advises on securitisations, covered bonds, master trust programs, partly-paid notes and warehouse programs.
Alban Caillemer du Ferrage, head of Jones Day's banking and finance practice, highlighted the Italian government's attempts to increase access to the capital markets for domestic companies as a primary driver behind the hires.
