International firm DLA Piper has announced it has “demerged” from its Turkish alliance partner YükselKarkınKüçük (YKK). The two had operated in an exclusive alliance since 2010.

While they will no longer enjoy a dedicated partnership, both parties have said they will continue to work together but would like to explore other avenues independently.

The formal partnership was dissolved on November 1 and it is expected that those DLA lawyers based in Turkey will transfer to YKK.
