Foreign firm Duane Morris & Selvam enters into an alliance with Colombo-based Gowers International Legal Consultants & Corporate Lawyers.
Sri Lankan firm Gowers International is particularly known for its expertise in banking and finance, insurance, shipping and aviation, and construction and real estate matters.
“With such impressive growth in Sri Lanka during the past five years, we have felt significant demand for dedicated and experienced counsel in Colombo,” DMS managing director Krishna Ramachandra said in a statement. “In partnering with Gowers International, we are pleased to offer the legal resources to grow and thrive there.”
The tie-up follows several years of collaboration between the two firms in advising foreign as well as domestic clients in cross-border corporate transactions.
