Ukrainian firm AstapovLawyers appointed a new head of its commercial and government relations practice today after recruiting Oleg Samus from Bunge Ukraine.
Samus, who joins the Kiev based outfit as partner, was the director of the legal and public affairs department at Bunge, where he had been employed for almost nine years.
Astapov’s new hire has more than 10 years of experience in the agricultural and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. In his previous positions he has handled M&A, infrastructure projects, corporate work, commercial and tax disputes, criminal cases, compliance and regulation.
