Hengeler Mueller has applied to open an office in Shanghai. The firm is confident the move will be approved and hopes to open by the end of 2014.
The German independent plans to focus on corporate, M&A and equity capital markets in China. Recently promoted partner Changfeng Tu will relocate from Düsseldorf to lead the new office.
He will be supported by the other members of the firm’s China team: corporate partner Johannes Adolff, who will move to Shanghai from Hengeler’s Frankfurt base, and partners Christian Möller and Hendrik Haag, who focus on corporate and finance respectively, who will divide their time between Germany and China.
