MAYER BROWN has been among the more active firms in the UK recently, adding finance partner Kieron Dwyer from the newly merged Gowling WLG, where he was partner and head of international energy and natural resources. The US firm also added Financial Conduct Authority lawyer Guy Wilkes from the regulator's enforcement and market oversight division.

Elsewhere, TRAVERS SMITH added restructuring and insolvency lawyer Edward Smith from K&L Gates, where he was a partner in the firm's bankruptcy group. EVERSHEDS enhanced its corporate offering by hiring Sebastian Orton from Jones Day, and TAYLOR WESSING added venture capital lawyer Angus Miln to its ranks from Latham & Watkins.
