One of Clifford Chance's leading Belgium-based competition partners – EU public policy head and former global head of antitrust Oliver Bretz – has left the firm. He plans to set up a boutique competition practice based in Brussels and London. He reportedly plans to have a team of at least three associates by the end of 2015.

A hire that raised a few eyebrows in the Czech Republic was Kvetoslav Krejcí, White & Case's CEE head. Krejcí, who also led his previous firm's Prague capital markets practice, is the fifth partner to leave the white shoe firm's Czech team in the last 18 months and will be joining KINSTELLAR.
