IFLR Asia Capital Markets Forum 2013: date and speakers confirmed

The ninth IFLR Asia Capital Markets Forum will be held at the Conrad in Hong Kong on November 27 2013. The legal community will gather to hear from industry leaders about cutting edge issues facing those involved in capital markets in the region. The forum will be driven by discussion on new products, new issuers and a growing focus on emerging markets.

Peter Siembab, managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will participate at the forum, along with Pius Chong from HSBC and Jon Pedersen, general counsel at Credit Suisse. There will also be the chance to hear from Rebecca Smith from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and Neil Atkinson from BNY Mellon.

The foreign listings panel will open the conference and be moderated by John Moore, partner at Morrison & Foerster, and will focus on the Securities and Futures Commission’s new sponsorship rules, which will apply from October. There will be a discussion on the future of high yield in the region with focus on regulatory concerns in key markets including: China, Indonesia and India.

The future of RMB panel will focus on the offshore and onshore markets and the development of the high-yield dim sum market. There will be a focus session looking at key trends and developments in emerging markets along with panel sessions on credit enhancement and the issues surrounding structures, loans, trust IPOs and OTC derivatives.
