Luis Cunha

Luis is a partner at ASAR – Al Ruwayeh & Partners and has been with the firm since January 2009. He regularly acts for international and domestic clients in relation to M&A transactions and corporate legal matters cutting across varied sectors, including pharmaceutical, construction, defence, telecommunications, e-commerce, manufacturing, and oil and gas.

Luis has been involved in a number of firsts, including the establishment of a company with a majority foreign ownership under a hybrid system involving the Kuwait Foreign Direct Investment Law. A hallmark of Luis’s approach lies in his understanding of client objectives and core concerns, allowing him to tailor strategies and implement structures that focus on their unique needs, thus avoiding protracted negotiations and regulatory burdens.

He is admitted to the South African bar and is a qualified solicitor in the senior courts of England and Wales.
