Biography
Partner specialising mainly in restructuring & insolvency and banking & finance, with some 20 years in this field. Has extensive experience of complex corporate restructurings, liquidations (solvent and insolvent) – both domestic and cross-border cases - and all matters related to financially distressed companies. Accredited and regularly appointed by the courts insolvency administrator in company reorganisations and liquidations, and also represents creditors in insolvency proceedings as well as clients in related litigation.
Recent transactional highlights
- Appointed as administrator in restructurings and later insolvent liquidations of VLT and Liberala Tidningar i Mellansverige, part of Sweden’s largest printing and newspaper group STAMPEN. Proceedings include substantial financial assets, complex legal and financial/security issues as well as tax related and other types of litigation.
- Sucessfully administered business reorganisation and insolvent liquidation proccedings in a number of sports retail businesses, Handelsfabriken and SportFabriken (part of the Sportringen chain).
- Appointments as liquidator in a number of real estate developing companies in the Swedish Axxonen Group, liquidating and distributing assets and restructuring part of the businesses and the development projects to be sold to new investors.
- Instructed and appointed by the Swedish Government and successfully liquidated the state owned Environmental Management Council (Svenska Miljöstyrningsrådet) in voluntary proceedings, which included significant claims collection and complex EU administrative issues, as well as a transfer of contracts and liabilities etc. between various governmental bodies.
- Representing large corporations like Scania, Ford Credit and others as stakeholders in third party industrial and other insolvency proceedings, defending the clients’ claims and interests.
