Otto Waechter is head of Banking and Finance. He has extensive experience in advising domestic and international clients on all aspects of banking and finance law and on all types of financing including project finance and corporate restructuring.
He has advised on high scale project financing infrastructure transactions.
Recent transactional highlights
- Advising a Belgian – French banking institution in a range of multiple high profile and multimillion Euro banking disputes/litigation before Austrian courts.
- Advising a province of Austria in various complex matters involving the processing and reverse transaction of various financial derivatives – in particular involving a structured investment initially developed by formerly leading investment banks.
- Advised the main shareholder of a Fortune 500 company on the refinancing resp. restructuring of a EUR 250 million loan.
- Advising a leading Austrian Software company (developing innovative artificial intelligence technology) on and implementing the structuring of EIB Venture Debt Financing.
