Melania has worked for the Arias firm since 2006. She joined the firm as an assistant, in 2008 she became an associate lawyer, and in 2019 she became a Partner.
She is in charge of the Corporate Law Department and Notarial Services of the Firm in Costa Rica.
Her professional practice involves advising companies on corporate and commercial issues in general, including the preparation of contracts, Due Diligence projects, mergers and acquisitions; as well as, in the preparation of legal opinions on corporate law. He has experience in Family Law, Corporate Governance, Distribution. Additionally, Melania has extensive experience advising clients in the pharmaceutical industry and in the general administration of legal advisory matters including regulatory law and health records issues.
Finally, Melania is in charge of the Probono and Social Responsibility projects carried out by the Firm.

Arias' role involved providing legal expertise and guidance to ensure the restructuring complied with all necessary regulations and was implemented smoothly on a global scale, including legal actions specific to Costa Rica.
- Melania Dittel advised a Canadian company win a government contract in Costa Rica by setting up a local presence and navigating complex legal and time constraints. This project will modernize Costa Rica's tax system, improving efficiency and transparency for both the government and its citizens. The increased efficiency in managing public finances is expected to benefit all Costa Ricans.
