Mr. Morcillo joined Brigard & Urrutia in 2006 and currently is a Partner in the Capital Markets, Securities & Private Equity and M&A Practice Groups. Mr. Morcillo focuses his practice on securities offerings, including both equity and debt offerings in the Colombian Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and under 144A and Reg S rules. He has been involved in many of the largest securities offerings out of Colombia, including landmark offerings such as the first double-listed issuer, the first ETF and the first simultaneous offering made both in Colombia and in international markets. He frequently advises clients on Private Equity matters, including fund formation, fund raising and the implementation of investment policies for companies and projects in a cross-border basis, being a recognized leader on the development of the Colombian private equity industry.
