Biography
Dr. Le Minh Phieu is the Founder and Managing Partner of LMP Lawyers, with 24 years of experience practising in Vietnam. He focuses on corporate and commercial matters, inbound investment, M&A, real estate, employment and dispute resolution. His clients include multinational companies from the US, Europe and Asia, international investment funds, and listed and family-owned Vietnamese companies.
He is recognised as a Highly Regarded lawyer by IFLR1000 and has been named among Vietnam’s Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal.
Phieu advises foreign investors on structuring and market entry, manages licensing and company establishment, and supports clients throughout their operations. His M&A practice covers the full transaction cycle, including origination, due diligence, the negotiation of share purchase and shareholders’ agreements, completion accounts, and locked-box and escrow mechanisms. In contentious matters, he represents clients before Vietnamese courts and in arbitration proceedings.

- Advised Rikkeisoft Corporation on the sale and issuance of a 20% shareholding to Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, representing Sumitomo’s first partnership with a Vietnamese IT company.
- Advised ADG National Investment and Technology Development Corporation on the sale and issuance of a 70% shareholding to M1 Limited of Singapore, marking M1’s entry into Vietnam. The transaction was valued at VND719.9 billion, approximately US$28 million.
- Advised Viet Hoa My on negotiations and litigation against the buyer under a factory sale and purchase agreement, securing a successful negotiated recovery in a matter valued at VND32 billion.
- Advised the shareholders of a confidential medical equipment company on the resolution of a shareholder dispute and the sale of their interests to a new investor. The transaction was valued at US$60 million.
- Advised a confidential corporate client on its business restructuring, including the negotiated redundancy of 50 employees.
