Lárus advises a range of long-standing clients, many in the public and utilities sector, on various issues arising in the course of their business, including corporate, constitutional, contract, energy, real estate and construction law. Lárus also practises sports law and is the President of the Icelandic National Olympic and Sports Association. Lárus was on the Icesave negotiating committee following Iceland’s banking collapse in 2008, and is currently the chairman of both Icelandic State Financial Investments (Bankasysla ríkisins), which holds the Icelandic state’s stakes in financial institutions, including all three of Iceland’s main retail banks, as well as the working group that in December 2018 published a white paper on the future of banking in Iceland.
