Jose Costa Pinto

José specializes in commercial and corporate law issues and has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, cross-border and domestic M&A and private equity transactions. Also advises foreign clients with the establishment of branches and on inbound investment in Portugal, as well as assists domestic entities with local deals.

Before founding Costa Pinto in 2013, José worked for Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho and Simmons & Simmons. He was also President of the National Association of Portuguese Young Lawyers (ANJAP) between 2014 and 2018.

Currently José is a Member of the Boards of: the Portuguese Compliance and Regulatory Observatory, the Corporate Governance Portuguese Institute and the Portuguese Law Firms Association.
