Joined WalderWyss since 2023

Iliana Djagova is counsel in the Corporate/M&A team of Walder Wyss. She has extensive experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, growth equity financings and late-stage investments as well as capital market and public takeover transactions. She regularly acts for strategic and financial investors, including private equity firms, on both the buy-side and sell-side. Iliana also advises companies and shareholders throughout all stages of their lifecycle, with a particular focus on growth-stage and exit transactions. In addition, she counsels private and listed companies, as well as their shareholders, on corporate governance and general corporate and commercial law matters.

Prior to joining Walder Wyss in 2023, Iliana spent eight years at another leading Swiss law firm, advising on high-profile M&A and private equity transactions. In 2015/16 she further broadened her international experience at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York, USA.

Iliana studied law at the University of Geneva and Zurich (lic. iur., 2010) and the University of California, Berkeley (LL.M., 2015). She was admitted to the Zurich Bar in 2013 and to the New York Bar in 2018.

Iliana’s professional languages are German and English. She also speaks Bulgarian and French.
