• Guillermo advised Sanofi Aventis in the Central America and The Caribbean leg of the transaction that concluded with the acquisition by CD&R of a 50% controlling stake of Opella Healthcare.
• Guillermo assisted Second Street Inc, a New York mortgage company, to develop the structure and to obtain the clearance to provide mortgage loans secured by Costa Rican Real Estate Properties to US residents, based in US standards.  
• Finally, Guillermo led the team in the acquisition by a US-Spanish joint venture of a beach club and lots for future development in the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
