Franz-Ferdinand Guggenmos

Ferdinand has been with the firm for over 5 years and was promoted to senior associate in May 2020. He is a ‘home grown’ attorney and spent his entire time as an associate at CERHA HEMPEL since he joined the firm in 2015. Ferdinand specializes in corporate and M&A transactions in particular corporate restructurings, reorganizations and joint ventures. He has been involved in numerous complex M&A projects over the past years. Ferdinand is also part of the firm's tax practice group and has profound experience in corporate and group taxation and tax planning, taxation of mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

• Advised OMV AG in the approx. USD 4.7 billion purchase price for the acquisition of 39% stake in Borealis AG from Mubadala Group.
• Advised XXX Lutz Group in the acquisition of Conforama France and the purchase of 22 furniture stores located throughout CEE.
• Advised OMV AG on the EUR 485 million sale of 285 filling stations to British EG Group.
• Advised OMV AG on the sale of its 51% stake in GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH to Verbund AG.
