Evangelos Lakatzis

Evangelos Lakatzis joined the firm in 2004 and is considered a Greek venture capital expert, having been selected as an advisor in several notable projects in the field. Evangelos has advised in numerous M&A deals and other cross-border transactions in the South Eastern Europe area, representing mainly venture capital firms, private equity funds and strategic or private investors. He also advises corporations and other entities in the field of corporate, civil and commercial law.

• Advising 5G Ventures S.A. (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations, Greece’s privatization fund) in relation to the establishment and investments of Phaistos Investment Fund, a specialized venture capital mutual fund focusing on existing and start-up companies active in the research and/or development of 5G and 5G-related products & services in Greece.
• Advising the Hellenic Development Bank of investments (HDBI) in relation to its participation in several funds investing in Greece. Estimated value (together with private investors) circa €1bn;
• Member of the legal team that advised the Greek State on the establishment of “Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participation S.A.” (HCAP), including drafting of L. 4389/2016, as well as, adoption of its Internal Regulation;
• Advised on the management buyout of Euroclinic, one of the most prominent Greek private clinics Group;
• Advised on the sale of ICAP S.A., the leading Business Information and Credit Risk Solutions Group in Greece
• Advising Institute of Life, one of the largest and most advanced Assisted Reproduction Centres in Europe, established within IASO, a leading maternity and gynecology hospital in Greece, in relation to a broad range of business activities;
