Djamila is one of the founding partners of Dentons LEAD and heads the Corporate, M&A and Private investment practice areas at Dentons LEAD. Her areas of focus are Corporate, Commercial Law and M&A but she is also working on Banking and Finance, Insurance and Real Estate.
Djamila has extensive experience in advising companies, both national and foreign, which intend to invest in the Angolan market. She provides technical support, mainly in matters of commercial law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private investment (both in the general and special regimes) and real estate. She has worked in several important transactions, both nationally and transnationally, following negotiations on commercial contracts and cross-border deals.
Her experience also includes advice and assistance to lenders and borrowers (banking and non-banking financial institutions) multilateral, sovereign and private, for public or private projects, in the most varied forms of financing. She also deals with regulatory issues related to banking and capital markets.
Djamila has been a frequent speaker on numerous national and international conferences (on Corporate & Commercial Law and Banking and Finance issues) and is the author of several papers in the same areas.
Djamila is ranked at the most prestigious Legal Directories, Chambers and Partners (Global) and Legal 500 being highly recognized in her areas of expertise.
Prior to founding Dentons LEAD, Djamila was a Partner in FBL Advogados.
