Biography
Mr. Miljak’s work is focused on representing clients in litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings. He has a far-reaching experience in providing legal services to insurance companies and banking institutions in relation to litigation proceedings, bankruptcy and enforcement proceedings, as well as advising domestic and foreign clients on issues of taxation, bankruptcy, and real estate law.
Recent transactional highlights
- Mr. Miljak has represented clients in a number of complex investment transactions such as the acquisition of a large hotel joint stock company by one of the market leaders in the tourism sector, as well as participating in public takeover bids and squeeze-out procedures for joint stock companies.
- Mr. Miljak successfully represented creditors with claims of over EUR 50M in bankruptcy proceedings, which included the cross-border acquisition of secured claims, in-depth analysis of the claims and collateral portfolio, negotiations, and complex contract drafting.
