Badir Treviño-Mohamed is a partner in the Monterrey office. His practice focuses on Real Estate.
Mr. Treviño-Mohamed regularly advises multinational and domestic real estate developers, administrators, and investors (including private real estate funds, Mexican CKDs, CERPIs and FIBRAs), among others, in the Mexican legal and regulatory aspects of direct or structured investments in, or strategic acquisitions of, real property in the industrial, retail, commercial, tourism, residential, data centers, and urban sectors.

Recent matter/case highlights

Most recently, Mr. Treviño-Mohamed advised Fibra Prologis in its pioneering competitive tender offer and reciprocal subscription to purchase up to 100% of the CBFIs issued by Terrafina, marking the largest industrial real estate acquisition in Mexico and Latin America. He also assisted FIBRA Nova with its latest rights offering, aimed at acquiring, managing, and developing a high-quality real estate portfolio in Mexico, and Alójica in the acquisition, development, and operation of the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Hotel in Jalisco.  Additionally, Mr. Treviño-Mohamed has provided counsel to FIBRA Macquarie in its approximately US$1.5 billion acquisition of its initial portfolio, which included two real estate portfolios comprising 244 industrial properties across 21 cities and 15 states in Mexico. This acquisition was the largest real estate transaction in Mexico at the time. Since then, he has been involved in various acquisitions and sales for FIBRA Macquarie, totaling over US$1 billion.
