Armel Waisse

Armel Waisse is highly regarded for her sound knowledge in banking, insolvency, commercial and financial law. She assists clients in domestic and cross-border financing, bankruptcy cases and restructuring deals involving the enforcement of Luxembourg law governed financial collateral arrangements. She also provides advice on regulatory issues involving credit institutions, insurance undertakings and professionals of the financial sector. In addition, Armel is an accomplished litigator and is regularly appointed as counsel and legal expert in international arbitrations.

• Assisted a private equity group on the acquisition of a future credit institution in Luxembourg. 
• Assisted a regulated professional of the financial sector in relation to the phasing out of its activities.
• Advised a Luxembourg bank in relation to the setting-up of a senior syndicated loan for the acquisition of a prominent shopping centre.
• Advised senior secured noteholders in relation to debt restructuring, pre-trial actions and pledge enforcement, where the value of the matter was 200 million Euros
• Advised creditors in relation to the bankruptcy of the Luxembourg entity of a leading global workspace provider.
