Alexis is regularly featured in leading legal directories which, in recognition of his achievements, have independently elicited selected clients’ comments which have referred to him as “an extremely knowledgeable strategic thinker”, (IFLR 1000), “a very strong work ethic and entrepreneurial attitude” (Chambers and Partners), “dynamic and methodical” (Who’s Who Legal). Chambers and Partners (High Wealth) recognised Alexis as a “Band 1” lawyer in Cyprus. Alexis has been also listed in the 2020 edition of the Legal 500 as a tier 1 lawyer in banking and finance and he has been consistently recognized by IFLR, WhosWhoLegal and other leading directories as a leading figure in corporate, m&a and real estate.
- Advised a major international telecommunication corporation, in relation to the sale of its 99.05% stake, for a total contract value of €208 million;
- Acted for the lenders on the refinancing of a $600 million secured facility to one of the largest agricultural companies of Eastern Europe;
- Represented a leading Greek company, Iktinos Hellas, which is listed in the Athens Stock Exchange in connection with its acquisition of a major stake in another company from the seller, Dolphin Capital, a listed corporation in the AIM – London Stock Exchange;
- Primarily responsible for the restructuring (via a scheme of arrangement) of a leading international group with total assets in the region of 1billion USD;
- Advised UniCredit in a multimillion refinancing transaction involving Cyprus entities and various security structures.
