Martinet & Martinet offers all areas of law and has a particularly strong track record in maritime and shipping projects. The firm is led by Alain Martinet and Marie-Paule Martinet and has associates in the US and Paris who serve as support and points of contact. The firm also has experience handling cross-border projects into Ethiopia and working with international counsel, having recently partnered up with Gide Loyrette Nouel on a project.
Among its notable mandates the team has been advising Djibouti Dry Ports on a project for the creation of a free trade zone, where it assisted international investors Jafza Dubai and Islamic Bank Abu Dhabi, and acting for Dubai Port World and lenders including Proparco on port and terminal infrastructure projects. More recently the team was working alongside Norton Rose Fulbright to advise Canadian company Allana Potash Company on local law aspects of the construction of a new potash terminal.
