Haiyan Duan joined Zhong Lun in April 2013 and is an Equity Partner in the firm's Beijing office. She specializes in labor law, social security law and trade union law. With more than 25 years of experience in labor and employment law, she has extensive expertise in both litigation and non-litigation matters.
Her practice covers representing large state-owned enterprises, representative offices of foreign companies in China and foreign-invested enterprises in labor disputes with employees. She regularly advises clients on employment contracts, collective agreements, employee handbooks, internal policies and regulatory compliance matters.
Haiyan also assists companies in standardizing employment practices, formulating workforce adjustment plans, outsourcing arrangements and labor dispatch structures. Her experience includes advising on labor and employment compliance systems, identifying employment-related risks, and guiding enterprises through restructurings, listings, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, employee transfers, resettlement programs, compensation arrangements and economic layoff projects.
