Zepos & Yannopoulos acted as lead legal counsel to Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP in the successful acquisition of a portfolio of non-performing and performing residential mortgage exposures from Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios S.A. E.F.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of UCI SA, which is a joint venture between Banco Santander and BNP Paribas, and the interim assignment of the portfolio servicing to UCI Greece. The transaction included a limited recourse senior bond loan facility provided by Credia Bank to the purchaser for financing part of the purchase price.
The transaction forms part of a multi-faceted deal involving the sale of both performing and non-performing exposure portfolios.
