Shearman & Sterling has enhanced its capital markets practice with the re-hire of a high yield partner in London.
Ward McKimm, recognised as a 'Market Leader' by the IFLR1000, joins the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he focuses on high yield and leveraged finance work.
His notable recent deals include advising Carlson Wagonlit Travel and World Pay Finance on notes issues and advising CVC Capital Partners in connection with the high yield element of the financing of its acquisition of ParexGroup Participations.
McKimm joined Freshfields from Kirkland & Ellis in 2015. He joined Kirkland from Shearman in 2011.
Shearman itself lost high yield partner Apostolos Gkoutzinis to Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy earlier this year.
