Withers KhattarWong has expanded its M&A team in Singapore with the hire of a new partner.
Farhana Siddiqui joins the team from Drew & Napier and handles both M&A and financing matters including debt restructuring and debt capital markets work.
Recent mandates include advising Temasek Holdings in its offer to take SMRT private and acting for Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology (JCET) in its $1.03 billion takeover offer for STATS ChipPAC.
The move follows the recent additions of tax specialist Mahesh Kumar from Nishith Desai Associates and finance partner Tahirah Ara from Berwin Leighton Paisner.
