On Thursday June 5, Legal Benchmarking Group hosted its annual LMG Life Sciences EMEA Awards at the Waldorf Hilton in London, welcoming guests from European, Middle East and African markets.
The ceremony capped off months of research into the region's leading life sciences lawyers and law firms, leaning on direct entries and interviews to identify the most impactful work in the life sciences industry.
There were many triumphant life sciences teams and individuals, among them A&O Shearman, which won M&A Firm of the Year and Patent Litigation Firm of the Year: Pharmaceuticals. Powell Gilbert and Carpmaels & Ransford picked up awards for their patent litigation practices, while Arnold & Porter, Hogan Lovells and Latham & Watkins were recognised in antitrust, product liability and corporate finance, respectively.
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, fresh from its trans-Atlantic merger, won White Collar Crime Firm of the Year. US firms also triumphed, with Ropes & Gray winning VC Firm of the Year and Cooley taking Licensing & Collaboration Firm of the Year.
On the in-house side, Pfizer and Sanofi both took to the stage, with Sanofi's Emmanuelle Moreau named GC of the Year.
The Life Sciences team would like to express its gratitude to every firm, company, and lawyer that participated in the 2025 awards.
A big congratulations to all of this year’s winners and the all those firms and lawyers who made the shortlist.
