With capital markets around the world rapidly evolving, regulators and politicians are grappling with the dual mandate to ensure both their safety and competiveness. Indeed, following a period of fast growth, authorities overseeing the development of Asia's capital markets must now make sure they maintain their global lead in the new world order.

On November 27, over 100 delegates descended on the Conrad in Hong Kong for IFLR's ninth Asia Capital Markets Forum. There, they heard panellists debate the most pressing issues for the continued development of the region's capital markets, notably how to ensure Asia continues to attract foreign companies.
