Allen & Overy has finished top of Dealogic's global
project finance review for the third time in four years. The
firm closed 51 deals worth over $15 billion in 2004, taking a
9.3% share of the market.
White & Case moved up five places from ninth to fourth
after advising on the largest energy project financing to date,
Qatargas II, which weighed in at $9.3 billion. Milbank Tweed
Hadley & McCloy, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom and
Linklaters all broke through the $6 billion barrier to come
fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
The top three of Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance and
Latham & Watkins is unchanged from 2003. In 2004 they
