Lazard announced plans for its forthcoming initial public offering, in which Cravath Swaine & Moore and Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz will take the lead advisory roles. Wachtell Lipton is issuer counsel on the deal, which could be worth up to $945.9 million, according the bank's SEC filing. Adam Chinn, Gavin Solotar and Craig Wasserman are the firm's contact partners on the deal. Cravath's Kris Heinzelman and Erik Tavzel are representing the underwriter group, which includes Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. Conyers Dill & Pearman and Appleby Spurling Hunter are local issuer and underwriter counsel in Bermuda, where Lazard is incorporated.
