Sudhir Bassi is an Executive Director in Capital Markets Practise Group. Prior to joining the firm is 2013, he was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley India Company Private Limited. He has vast experience of over 26 years in capital markets wherein he has advised companies on all types of capital raisings (public/private/international both in equity and debt space), open offers, buy-backs, delistings etc. 

He has been involved in dicussions with SEBI and Stock exchanges in relation to development of regulatory framework for the Offer for Sale Mechanism, SEBI (Issue of Capital & Disclosure Requirement) Regulations, 2009, SEBI (Issue and Listing of Debt) Regulations, 2008. 

Bassi was also head of Capital Market-Policy Issues sub group of the Industry Affairs Committee of Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI). He has been a member of various committees like the committee constituted by SEBI on  Issue of Capital & Disclosure Requirements, Capital & Disclosure Requirements, regulatory framework for public issue of debentures and more.

Harsha Bangari

Harsa Bangari joined Exim Bank in 1995 and and is heading the Bank’s Treasury and Accounts Group and is the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank with effect from April 27, 2018. Prior to this, Bangari was heading the Bank’s Project Exports Group as also handled Treasury and Foreign Currency Resources of the Bank, worked with the Bank’s Corporate Banking Group handling activities including generation of credit proposals, project appraisals for plain vanilla products as well as innovative structured financing deals as also the Bank’s Risk Management Group. 

Bangari has professional experience of more than 23 years in the financial sector and has knowledge of and expertise in the Bank’s processes and business policies across functions covering all products of the Bank including cross border project financing as well as Risk Management, Client Servicing and Liability side management including Treasury Functions and Foreign Currency Resources. Bangari is a member of the Bank’s Committee of Executives, as also Asset Liability Management Committee, Funds Management Committee, Equity Investments Committee, Complaints Committee, Integrated Risk Management Committee, Credit Risk Management Committee, Product Pricing Committee, Responsible Financing Committee, Customer Service Committee, Fraud Monitoring Group, NPA Assignment Committee, Stressed Asset Sale Identification Committee and Project Evaluation Committee. Bangari also serves as a Director on the Board of an infrastructure company as the Bank’s nominee. Bangari’s areas of interest include international debt capital markets, Forex markets and international project finance.

Abhimanyu Bhattacharya

Abhimanyu Bhattacharya is a Partner in the Capital Markets Practice Group in the Mumbai office. He has significant experience in various capital markets transactions, including initial and follow-on public offers, rights issues, qualified institutions placement, ADR/GDR and FCCB offers and offshore high yield bonds. Bhattacharya is a member of the visiting faculty at the BSE Training Institute and has assisted the SEBI CRDA Committee with respect to reforms in the disclosure and application process in public offers. Bhattacharya is a member of the Academic Council of the Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai.

Varoon Chandra


Varoon Chandra is a partner based in the Mumbai offices of AZB & Partners, and is co-head of the Firm’s capital market practice group. Shroff & Co and thereafter at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas where she was a Partner and Head of the Financial Regulatory Practice Group. Rameesh Kailasam


Rameesh Kailasam is currently the CEO of IndiaTech.org and is considered as the emerging voice of the Indian startups in the internet space. Prior to joining IndiaTech, he was acting Managing Director at APCO Worldwide heading the firm's India operations across different sectors on matters of policy and advocacy. Prior to APCO, he served as vice-president for Governmental Programs at IBM for India & South Asia, where he represented the company in a number of policy engagements with the Government. He was also with Oracle and later with Applied Materials wherein he was instrumental in working on e-governance policies with a number of governments in India and overseas and a contributor to the National Solar Mission policy on renewable energy. He has been involved in the creation of next generation administrative reforms and e-Governance in various States and Central Government in India, and was actively involved in the set-up and running of the Centre for Good Governance at the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Through this Centre, he drove various governance reforms in Financial Accountability, Finance, Urban, Rural governance, Health, Education and governance reforms. Mushtaq Kapasi

Mushtaq Kapasi is ICMA’s Chief Representative for the Asia-Pacific region. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2002, engaged in senior strategy, capital market and legal roles covering the region at international banks active in Asia. He has worked as a lawyer in debt capital markets and derivatives, a structurer in equities and fixed income, a manager of complex trades with regulatory and accounting considerations, and an adviser to top executives on emerging market strategy. He has also served as a consultant on financial structures of renewable energy projects in frontier markets. He is a member of the New York State Bar, and studied mathematics at the University of Texas and law at Yale University.

Sriram Krishnan

Manan Lahoty


Manan Lahoty is a partner in the firms Mumbai office and specialises in capital markets. Lahoty is qualified to practice in both England and Wales, and India. He has advised on some of the largest and prestigious Indian transactions in the domestic and international capital markets, including the largest public offering, and largest block sale in India, as well as on a number of novel transactions such as public offering of an exchange traded fund.  He has recently advised on capital markets transactions across sectors, including BFSI, technology, telecom, hospitality, real estate and manufacturing. Rajiv Mohapatra

Rajiv Mohapatra is a senior corporate legal professional having experience of nearly 2 decades in managing legal and regulatory issues in banking and financial services industry. Mohit Shukla

Mohit Shukla is Head of Legal for India, and the India Lead for Regulatory and Government Relations, for Barclays. As Head of Legal, he is responsible for the general oversight of legal services to all the Indian businesses and Barclays entities in India. He has over 20 years of work experience with a diverse background, including the metals manufacturing, tobacco and hospitality industries, prior to financial services (first with the ANZ Group). Shukla is actively engaged in various citizenship and diversity initiatives of Barclays in India and is currently the executive sponsor for its LGBT network, Spectrum, in India. He also serves as a Senior Advisor in India to WiN, the Barclays gender network for employees. He also donates time as a teacher at the Happy Home and School for the Blind in Mumbai. Ranju Sigtia

Ranju Sigtia is the Global Head of International Financial Institutions Group (IFIG) at ICICI Bank Ltd. since April 2015. Her role entails driving business with international financial institutions and raising wholesale funds from domestic and offshore markets, multilateral agencies etc. for ICICI Bank and its international banking subsidiaries. She also heads ICICI Bank’s international banking unit at Gujarat International Financial Tec-City and the Offshore Banking Unit at Mumbai. Sigtia has been with the Bank since 2003, and has worked across corporate banking, investor relations and strategy groups of the Bank.

Vishal Yaduvanshi


Vishal Yaduvanshi is a Partner in our capital markets practice and is based in Delhi. Yaduvanshi has extensive experience of over a decade in representing both underwriters and issuers and has led domestic and international offerings of equity and equity linked securities (including IPOs, QIPs, rights issue, buy backs and block deals) in a wide variety of industries. Yaduvanshi also specialises in overseas listings by Indian issuers such as depository receipt listings, direct overseas listings through offshore structures and listing of business trusts.
