Ailsa joined Centrica in March 2011, providing legal support for Business Development in the Exploration and Production business. She specialises in mergers and acquisitions, and has also supported the finance and treasury departments. Ailsa currently provides legal support to Centrica's gas desk within the Energy Marketing and Trading business.

Ailsa worked on Centrica's joint venture with Qatar Petroleum International in relation to the acquisition of Suncor's assets in Canada, led the legal side of Centrica's debut US bond offer, advised on the strategic acquisition of Neas Energy, one of Europe's leading energy management and optimisation providers, and most recently, worked on Centrica's E&P Joint Venture with Bayerngas Norge.

Prior to joining Centrica, Ailsa worked at the London office of Jones Day, covering a wide range of corporate deals including cross-border M&A, private equity and capital markets work. She completed several secondments to listed companies, including Pearl Insurance and Connaught plc.



Alexey Karpovich

Alexey Karpovich is the Senior Corporate Counsel and Solicitor at Cisco Systems, where he has worked since 2007. In his present role, he provides legal support on acquisitions as a part of the company's M&A team, specifically focusing on acquisition integration. He advised on deals ranging from $5m up to $2bln, including public companies. Karpovich also has a considerable financing experience. His previous roles included general counsel and litigation lawyer roles internationally.



Andreas Bohrer

Andreas Bohrer serves as Group General Counsel & Company Secretary of Lonza, a Switzerland-headquartered company with dual listing and operations globally. In this role Andreas is in charge of Legal, Compliance and Intellectual Property world-wide and reports to the Group CEO as well as to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is also the line manager of the Lonza Business Heads of South America and of India and was most recently involved in the USD 5.5bn acquisition and integration of Capsugel by Lonza.

From March 2010 until March 2015, Andreas was with Novartis as General Counsel of the Novartis Animal Health division and Head Transactions Legal at Novartis Group during the acquisition and integration of Alcon. Previously he worked for UBS as General Counsel Switzerland, and as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer EMEA for the Global Asset Management Division.  Andreas started his legal career with Howard, Smith & Levin LLP (now Covington & Burling) in New York, USA, and Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich/Geneva.

Andreas holds a PhD from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and an LLM from New York University, New York, USA, where he was a Fulbright scholar. He also lectures corporate governance and capital markets law as Titularprofessor at the University of Zurich.  He has been active in a number of professional events and activities, including the American-Swiss Young Leaders Conference and the Harvard and Stanford Law Schools' International Junior Faculty Forum.


Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright is the acting Senior Director of Mergers at the Competition and Markets Authority, where he leads the mergers team responsible for UK merger control. He was previously at the Competition Commission where, as Project Director, he led many in-depth merger investigations in all sectors of the economy, two market investigations and various regulatory appeals. Prior to these regulatory roles, Andrew worked in corporate finance, advising technology and telecoms companies on mergers and acquisitions.



Charlotte Bellamy

Charlotte is a director in the Market Practice and Regulatory Policy team of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), supporting the ICMA lead manager constituency. As part of that role, Charlotte is Secretary to the ICMA Legal & Documentation Committee and looks at regulatory and market developments of interest to the Committee including benchmark reform, Prospectus Regulation, the PRIIPs Regulation and MiFID2. Charlotte joined ICMA in 2013 from Allen & Overy LLP, where she was an associate in the International Capital Markets department, working on a range of debt capital markets products and programmes.

Dragana Radojevic is the head of M&A legal team for BNP Paribas Personal Finance, an affiliate of the BNP Paribas group specializing in consumer finance. She leads a team of 7 senior in-house counsels intervening for BNPP PF in all cross-border transactions such as acquisitions, investments, strategic alliances and partnerships, creation of joint-ventures, or other corporate restructurings and divestitures. Prior to joining BNPP PF, she worked as an attorney at law in an international law firm (Orrick) and in international companies (DuPont de Nemours, Cisco Systems). Besides transactional work in the banking and financial services sectors, she has strong experience in start-up and fintech investments.


Julie Varcoe-Cocks

Julie joined Serco General Counsel's Office (UK and Europe) in June 2013.

Julie has been the primary legal support in developing the ethics functions including policies and procedures, code of conduct, training and governance. She has led on complex corporate investigations, legal advice and producing reports.

She in her role provides legal support on regulatory and compliance matters including health and safety, GDPR, data protection, corporate governance, anti-bribery and corruption, ethics and regulatory litigation.

Julie has formulated regulatory and compliance strategy, advising on and managing complex and/or high legal and compliance projects She has developed and driven key initiatives to implement change, developing policies, processes and procedures in Serco with training  and awareness. Focus on pragmatic solutions to problems and has a key interest in data protection and corporate governance.

Julie is a practising solicitor qualified in England and Wales and a practiced in Australia both in private and in-house roles.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys tennis, golf, sailing and travelling.

Luke Flaherty is a Director and Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, primarily covering the corporate finance, corporate broking and capital markets teams in relation to equity, equity-linked and certain debt transactions within Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Before moving to Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2010, Luke was a senior associate in the London office of Clifford Chance, and prior to that worked in the Sydney office of Freehills, having first been admitted as a solicitor in Australia in 2003.

SCB promotes the adoption of a low carbon future and is a market leader in many carbon reduction credit markets such as RINS and LCFS in the United States. Prior to joining SCB, Ruth worked at the Financial Conduct Authority where she acquired first-hand regulatory understanding and worked in both the enforcement and markets divisions with a particular focus on market abuse and manipulation issues.  Ruth started her career at Slaughter and May where she worked in the dispute resolution practice.


Susan Henderson

The international labor and employment team is responsible for providing support to all of GE’s businesses across the full range of people related legal issues.

Prior to joining GE, Susan worked was Head of HR Strategy as well as leading the Litigation and Employment legal team for Legal & General, a large financial services company headquartered in London.  Susan started her career in private legal practice, working first for McGrigors then Lovells.

Susan holds an LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow.  She is professionally qualified as a solicitor in both Scotland and England, and is a solicitor-advocate in England.  She is also a member of the New York State Bar.

She regularly speaks and writes on both domestic and international employment law issues and is a former chair of the In-House Employment Lawyers Network in the UK.

With a career rich in experience at some of the world’s most prominent legal and financial institutions, Timo Matthias Spitzer is the current head of legal global corporate banking in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for Banco Santander from his base in the German financial hub of Frankfurt.

Spitzer’s role has a broad scope, and on a day-to-today basis involves management of the legal aspects of a number of important cross-border transactions, all of these relating to the Spanish bank’s corporate and investment banking portfolio in the aforementioned countries.

Ana Jankov

Tijana Kojovic
