Bhavna Thakur is Head of Capital Markets and Exits for Everstone Capital Advisors.

Prior to joining Everstone in 2015, Bhavna had over 17 years of corporate finance, investment banking, M&A, and capital markets experience. Previously, Bhavna worked with Citigroup, Morgan Stanley in Mumbai, and Paul Weiss, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and Davis Polk and Wardwell LLP in London and New York, respectively.

Bhavna holds a BA LLB (Honors) from National Law School of India, and a Masters in Law from Columbia University.

Himanshu Mody

Mr. Himanshu Mody is a Non-Executive Director of the Board. He currently heads Group Finance & Strategy for the Essel Group. With almost 12 years in the industry, he brings with him rich experience and skills in corporate strategy and finance.

After his MSc in Finance from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Mr. Mody started his career as a management trainee with Barclays Bank, London city office. After a 2 year intensive course, he returned to India to start the Fun Republic chain of multiplexes as a senior member in the finance team.

Mr. Mody has worked directly with Mr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman, Essel Group, for over 8 years in various corporate strategy, fund raising and M&A initiatives undertaken by the Essel Group. Prior to heading the Group's finance and strategy, he was Business Head for the Essel Group's Sports business, since its inception, which included launch of the Zee Sports channel, buyout of Ten Sports (a leading sports channel in South Asia). He also launched the Indian Cricket League (ICL) for the Essel Group during this tenure.

With over 16 years experience in the investment banking industry in India, Gesu has rich experience across various equity products, including initial public offerings, follow on offerings, private placements, Qualified Institutional Placements, international offerings and private equity transactions, across various sectors.

She has played an important role in the regulatory evolution of the Indian capital markets and has been involved with many capital market innovations over the years including introduction of the QIP product and subsequent amendments, introduction of ASBA and syndicate ASBA, reduction of IPO timelines, introduction of anchor investor category in IPOs, etc.

Gesu is an Economics Hons graduate from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Before joining Kotak Investment Banking in the year 2000, she was working with SBI Capital Markets Limited.

Yash J. Ashar is a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ Mumbai office since April 2008. He joined the Firm in 2001 after graduating from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. He heads the Capital Markets practice in the Firm and is also part of the Firm’s
Clients Committee.

An experienced practitioner in Indian securities law, Yash has been associated with a number of capital markets transactions including initial public offerings; follow on offerings, QIPs, rights
offerings, ADRs, GDRs and FCCBs. He has advised on several pioneering capital markets transactions involving India’s leading corporate. He also has experience in privatisation, joint
ventures, private equity investments and general corporate law.

Yash is part of the faculty of the Securities Law Course at the Government Law College, University of Mumbai on topics relating to Indian securities markets and also conducts the securities law related modules related to the IPOs and continuous listing obligations at the Bombay Stock Exchange Training Institute. He has been nominated by the Firm on various committees including the SEBI Committee for Reviewing Disclosures and Application Form in Public Issues. He has been a speaker for Practising Law Institute (PLI) - Annual Institute on
Corporate & Securities Law in Hong Kong.

Sudhir Bassi is an Executive Director in Capital Markets Practise Group in Mumbai. Prior to joining Khaitan & Company, he was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley India Company Private Limited. He has vast experience of over 20 years in capital markets wherein he has advised companies on all types of capital raisings (public/private/international both in equity and debt space), open offers, buy-backs, delistings etc. During this period he has been associated with more than 100 equity offering, 30+ debt offering, 20+ open offers, 4 delistings, and 8 buybacks. He has been associated with conceptualizing new concepts (e.g. shelf prospectus (for ICICI Bonds), book building (Tata Stell Bond Issue and Nirma FPO), exchangeable bond (Tata Industries), index bond (ICICI), conditional IPO (TCS IPO) and executing first time transactions (e.g. QIP offering (Apollo Tyre) and OFS (ONGC)) etc. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he has worked with JM Morgan Stanley Private Limited, JM Financial & Investment Consultancy Services Private Limited and PNB Capital Services Limited.

Sudhir has been involved in dicussions with SEBI and Stock exchanges in relation to development of regulatory framework for the 'Offer for Sale Mechanism', SEBI (Issue of Capital & Disclosure Requirement) Regulations, 2009, SEBI (Issue and Listing of Debt) Regulations, 2008. Sudhir was also head of Capital Market-Policy Issues sub group of the Industry Affairs Committee of Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI).

Satjeet Sahota is Senior Vice President of investment banking legal for Jefferies International Limited. Satjeet has over 15 years of experience, working in house for international investment banks and private practice with a US law firm, with his professional career spanning across EMEA, APAC and CIS regions.

At Jefferies, his primary responsibilities are supporting the investment banking business (including ECM, Corporate Broking, DCM, High Yield, Corporate Finance and Leveraged Finance) across the EMEA and India platforms. He is the lead internal counsel for Jefferies India working closely with the India and Asia teams on both inbound and outbound M&A and Indian capital market transactions.

Prior to joining Jefferies in 2014, he was on international assignments with The Royal Bank of Scotland and was located for over 2 years in Mumbai and 1 year in Hong Kong. Whilst on his international assignments, he oversaw the restructuring of various businesses of RBS in APAC including the sale of certain RBS’ India businesses
