The ninth IFLR Asia M&A Forum was held for February 25 & 26 2014 at the Island Shangri La and brought together more over 300 bankers’ counsel and their leading-industry peers to debate the future of M&A in the region.

It has been another year of uncertainty surrounding compliance issues with US regulatory risks and anti-corruption at the forefront of everyone’s minds with the GlaxoSmithKline experience in China still a main focus. M&A activity in natural resources has been debated among those who are watching the markets closely with particular focus on oil & gas movements.

The two-day conference analysed the past 12 months of M&A activity, and assessed the direction the markets would be going.
