Linklaters won international law firm of the year at IFLR's annual Asia awards, which were held in Hong Kong on March 2. The firm also took home the debt and equity-linked, securitisation and structured finance team and China practice trophies during the ceremony at the Island Shangri-La Hotel.

Clifford Chance had a successful evening too, winning private equity team of the year and appearing on four winning deals including China Yangtze Power Company's exchangeable bond and MBK Partners and TPG's acquisition of Wharf T&T.

Davis Polk & Wardwell was also celebrating after scooping up the most innovative US firm award while Shearman & Sterling took home trophies for high-yield and project finance teams of the year.

Loh Boon Chye of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) won the market reform award for his instrumental role in the SGX's consultations on dual class share structures and for leading the successful launch...
